Casting Crowns earn their 23rd Christian Airplay top 10, tying MercyMe for the most of any group and second-best sum among all artists. The overall leader (and the only act with a higher total) is Chris Tomlin with 26, dating to the survey's June 21, 2003, launch.On the Hot Christian Songs chart, which blends airplay, sales and streaming data, "Step" bullets at its No. 10 peak for a second week.
WELL-DESERVED PRAISE: On Hot Gospel Songs, which J.J Hairston & Youthful Praise lead for a 15th week with "You Deserve It," both Tamela Mann and GI enter the top 10.
Mann's "Change Me" hops 12-9, becoming the sixth top 10 for the Fort Worth, Texas, native and format veteran. Mann passes Kierra Sheard (five) as the solo female with the most Hot Gospel Songs top 10s. Among all artists, James Fortune & FIYA rank first with 10 top 10s on the survey, which began in 2005.
Finally, Richmond, Virginia-based quartet GI, which stands for God's Image, jogs into the Hot Gospel Songs top 10 for the first time among three appearances, as "Pray and Don't Worry" bumps 11-10. On Gospel Airplay, the song bullets at its No. 9 peak.
